The flame diameter of the stove where you place your pot should not be larger than the diameter of the pot's base. If you are using a ceramic, glass or induction stove, make sure that the bottom of the pot is clean and dry.
Do not touch hot surfaces while using. Carry only by the handles. Never use your pressure cooker without water. It should contain at least 1 glass (200 ml) of water or liquid. Otherwise, you may damage your pot.
Do not try to open your pot before it has completely cooled down and the pressure inside has been completely released. Your pressure cooker equipped with a safety system will not allow this anyway.
